FAQ

Rental prices are adjusted based on:
– Rental season (low/high season)
– The type of vehicle you choose
Typical prices range from:
– 40€ to 100€ when renting a car
– 10€ to 35€ when renting a scooter/motorcycle
– 30€ to 70€ for ATVs
– 50€ to 130€ choosing buggy for rent

The deposit required to make a reservation is 30% of the total rental amount. This deposit is deducted from the final amount of your rental.

Of course you can! You can change your reservation (e.g., dates or vehicle selection) without any additional costs, depending on availability. Please contact us if you need to adjust your reservation.
If you would like to cancel your reservation keep in mind that the deposit amount is non-refundable if you cancel within 20 days of your scheduled pick-up date.

If you’re involved in an accident, we’ll assist you in handling the situation. The costs associated with the accident will depend on the type of insurance coverage you selected and the nature of the accident.
The basic insurance is mandatory and covers financial responsibility for damages or injuries caused to third parties in an accident.
There is an option for  CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) insurance coverage that reduces your financial responsibility for damages to the rental vehicle. The deductible is €800.

Most beaches are accessible by car or motorcycle. However, certain beaches like Kaminakia, Panormos, and Vatse have difficult roads. For these locations, we recommend renting an ATV, as it can handle rough terrain.

Astypalaia has several charging stations for electric vehicles. We recommend using the PlugShare app, which provides an up-to-date map of all available charging points.

Yes! Our electric vehicles like Volkswagen e-up has a range of 258 kilometers, which is more than sufficient to explore the entire island, as the most distant routes are under 30 kilometers.

We have a very flexible pick-up/drop-off policy! You can request your vehicle at these locations:
– Airport
– Port
– Directly at your hotel
– Yalos rental office

  • The renter should have his drivers license more than 2 years
  • An A1 motorcycle license is sufficient to rent and drive 125cc scooters.
  • To drive a quad, you can use either a motorcycle license or a car driver’s license.

 No, a credit card is not required to rent a vehicle with Yalos Rent a Car. We offer alternative payment methods.
